Luciana was born to be a child in Rome with her grandparents. Luciana's dad was Manlio Paoluzzi who was an Italian Army officer, and her mother was Maria Rota Paoluzzi who was the one of Benito's mistresses. Luciana does not have known siblings. Luciana is the only female to have graduated in her high school class from Milan. Luciana also studied nautical engineering at the time. Within two years she began modeling. Soon after, she had the opportunity to act in Three Coins in the Fountain while in Rome visiting a daughter of her father's friend. Her first marriage was with Brett Halsey who is also an actor. The couple got married in the year 1960 and produced the film Return to the Peyton Palace. Luciana received the custody of Charles, born 13 June 1961. The couple divorced the following year. Luciana was involved in a romantic affair with Tony Anthony between 1962 until the year 1970. He was an actor and producer who was influenced by her character to write and direct the Spaghetti Western hybrid based on the character she played in the movie Green Slime.
